2011 Kayak Models
2011… This is our 25th year as a kayak and canoe shop. Every year it becomes more difficult trying to figure out which new model kayaks to carry in our already expansive line-up. It is tough at times to decide what model to promote and which of the models to let go or pass by. As best we can, the issue is approached from two perspectives; as paddlers ourselves and as a customer coming to our shop looking for accurate information, experience and honest recommendations. The models listed below are those that we are planning to or already do carry at our shop. The actual models we carry in stock may vary somewhat from this initial listing. We have added selected models from Current Designs, We-no-nah Canoes, Wilderness Systems, Feel Free, Crescent, Freedom Hawk, and Delsyk Kayaks. New models for 2011 are so indicated. And so, here we go….again. And so, here we go… again.
For models that are not listed here of manufacturers that we do represent, please see our direct links to the particular manufacturer for further information. Even if we don’t normally carry them in stock, we can certainly order them for a customer.
You can scroll down to browse all the models we stock, or click on a manufacturer's name to jump to its models.

Little Wing kayaks are built of either fiberglass using a marine foam core inner layer or, most common, carbon fiber using a marine foam core inner layer. Both processes use this sandwich construction for strength and lightness. An epoxy primer is then used over which a state of the art paint is applied and then sealed with a top quality durable finish of linear polyurethane marine clear coat.

There several elements of this new model that will allow easier access and increased comfort for taller and larger paddlers (up to 6' 4" and /or 250 lbs). The rear deck has also been lowered slightly for layback ability. The combined result of all the features of the new Little Wing 15.5 is a kayak that will please novice to expert paddlers for day-tripping whether in calm water or in rougher coastal conditions. All this in a kayak that weighs 28 lbs! The UV resistant coatings used are the best available. Bow and stern bulkheads and hatches and all necessary decklines are standard. A wide range of color options are available. The designer's long and successful history of hull design, choice of materials and attention to detail is evident here once again. MSRP of $4485 in carbon (28 lbs).
